• Passport
• Original marriage certificate
• Letter from your spouse's employer on company letter head, stating that you'll be employed for (at least) the next 1 year with them, with a minimum annual pay of .....
• 2 most recent paystubs of your spouse
• 1 passport size photograph (36x36mm)
• 5 to 6 marriage photographs. One while tying the knot is compulsory for the candidates going to Chennai consulate! All the pictures must be clear and can easily identify the bride & the bridegroom.
• Copy of your spouse's H-1B/L1/whatever visa approval. If it's H-1B, copy of its approval form (I-797)
• Two drafts (for $75 and $45, check here for latest update)
• "Credit statement" from your spouse's main bank account, if there is any. It's better to have some good bank balance (may be more $5,000 or so should be ok)
• One bride's and one bridegroom's invitation card
• Copy of your spouse's passport along with the visa stamped, if there is any
• Stapler and/or gum
